Bertus Visser is the founder of Broker For Brokers and a seasoned executive with over 40 years of experience in the South African financial services industry. Known for his strategic vision, operational leadership, and deep understanding of the brokerage environment, Bertus has dedicated his career to building and empowering broker networks.
His journey spans some of the most influential roles in the industry, including nearly three decades at Momentum, where he served as Head of Distribution Services and led national sales, regional operations, and key account collaborations with major banks like FNB and Nedbank. At Natsure, he served as Director and Head of Marketing, and later joined PSG Insure, where he spent ten years as Chief Executive of Insure Distribution, overseeing a network of over 400 financial advisers and sitting on multiple executive boards.
With a proven track record of facilitating 88 successful acquisitions over the past decade, Bertus brings deep expertise in strategic growth and broker transitions. His experience includes leading the acquisition of Absa Insure brokers by PSG, establishing the largest insurance franchise within PSG, and successfully structuring several other high-value transactions across the industry.
Throughout his career, Bertus has been at the forefront of broker development, compliance strategy, and distribution innovation. He’s held leadership roles on ASISA committees, driven national broker initiatives, and acted as a Key Individual across multiple institutions. His unmatched insight into valuations, acquisitions, operations, and regulatory structures has made him a trusted name in the brokerage space.
